Key Accomplishments & Impact

  • ​Expanded Green Spaces and protected ecology and environmental initiatives through local environmental non-profits, county agencies, US Army environmental programs, and other US Government agencies in the area
     

  • Supported student leadership and education outcomes through leadership and chairperson roles in Rotary Club's Youth Leadership Awards selection committee, expanding opportunities for students and the children of Mountain View residents while also working with the Mentor Tutor Connection and Mountain View Los Altos School Board on college prep, tutoring, and support for the Adult School
     

  • Through the Chamber of Commerce and the US Army Private Public Partnership, Alex has led as an executive ambassador and liaison connecting businesses and city professionals to military and federal leaders to achieve hiring initiatives and expand greater economic partnerships between all partners active in the community
     

  • As someone professionally experienced in federal and state property management and housing, Alex has advanced the conversation of housing in the city that both speaks to market and develops solutions and partnerships in developing workforce housing within the city and property owned and leased by the US Government 
     

  • Applied personnel management and career counseling to empower job seekers in the community who have disabilities, are unhoused, possess veteran status, are 1st and second-generation immigrants, and are entering the workforce for the first time as full-time students
     

  • As a personnel management officer and unit commander, Alex utilizes technical and creative skills to lead Soldiers and military staff to strengthen their capabilities in securing the local area while also repressing those same skills in all of his non-profit, business, volunteer, and local leadership roles that support the community at large
